Due to the health and administrative risks associated with the current global spread of the Covid-19 disease, and due to strict emergency measures taken by the Argentine government, effective until further notice, the local organizers and the AAS decided to postpone the\u00a0VIII Latin-American Congress of Sedimentology\u00a0(CLS Congress)\u00a0and the XVII Argentine Meeting of Sedimentology\u00a0<\/strong>(RAS Meeting),<\/strong>\u00a0scheduled for June 8\u201311, 2020, in\u00a0\u00a0Paran\u00e1 (Argentina).<\/p>\n Both\u00a0jointly decided to reschedule the congress for a year:\u00a0June 8-11, 2021.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Detailed information about the re-opening dates for the submission of abstracts,\u00a0registration, refunds, etc will be announced as soon as possible through the AAS website, the official mail of the congress and in social media.<\/p>\n The health, safety and well-being of all participants and organizers, exhibitors, guests and sponsors are our priority. We would like to thank all colleagues that have sent the abstracts and\u00a0who already paid the registration. We are convinced that rescheduling of the\u00a0 XVII RAS – VIII CLS Congress in Paran\u00e1 (Argentina) for a year is the best solution on how to reduce any adverse outcomes stemming from the current situation.<\/p>\n We apologize for any inconvenience this may bring to you, but it is an emergency that is beyond our control.
