INVITACI\u00d3N<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Estimados colegas, tenemos el agrado de dirigirnos a ustedes a fin de invitarlos a participar de la XVI Reuni\u00f3n Argentina de Sedimentolog\u00eda (RAS) \u201cSEDIMENTOLOG\u00cdA SIN FRONTERA\u201d, a realizarse del 26 al 30 de Noviembre de 2018 en la ciudad de General Roca, provincia de R\u00edo Negro.
\nLa RAS tiene como principal objetivo dar a conocer los trabajos y adelantos cient\u00edficos realizados en el campo de la sedimentolog\u00eda. Este tipo de encuentro genera un \u00e1mbito propicio para intercambiar conocimientos y coordinar acciones conjuntas entre profesionales del \u00e1mbito cient\u00edfico, acad\u00e9mico y de la industria, alumnos y las distintas instituciones vinculadas con las \u00e1reas de educaci\u00f3n, desarrollo cient\u00edfico, industrial y tur\u00edstico. De este modo, el congreso se constituye como un espacio para fortalecer el v\u00ednculo entre los \u00e1mbitos cient\u00edficos, acad\u00e9micos, la industria y la comunidad.
\nEn los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os se han producido numerosos avances del conocimiento sedimentol\u00f3gico de diferentes cuerpos planetarios. Por ejemplo, son numerosas las im\u00e1genes obtenidas del planeta Marte que documentan la presencia de diferentes estructuras sedimentarias, paleolagos, r\u00edos, deltas y grandes campos de dunas. En Tit\u00e1n se ha reconocido la existencia de lagos, r\u00edos y mares de metano. Inclusive en la Luna, muchos rasgos superficiales est\u00e1n siendo analizados en t\u00e9rminos sedimentol\u00f3gicos. Tomando como base este contexto consideramos que la pr\u00f3xima RAS 2018 constituye un escenario propicio para invitar a especialistas del \u00e1mbito nacional e internacional para que expongan y nos permitan discutir sobre el estado actual del conocimiento sedimentol\u00f3gico terrestre y su extrapolaci\u00f3n a otros cuerpos planetarios, ya que estos temas representan parte de los nuevos desaf\u00edos para la sedimentolog\u00eda del siglo XXI.<\/p>\n

Dear Colleagues, we are pleased to invite you to the XVI Reuni\u00f3n Argentina de Sedimentolog\u00eda (RAS) \u201cSEDIMENTOLOGIA SIN FRONTERAS\u201d to be held from November 26th to 30th, 2018 in General Roca City, Rio Negro Province, Argentina.
\nThe main objective of this meeting is to communicate the work and scientific progress in the field of sedimentology. The aim of this meeting is to exchange knowledge and coordinate joint actions among professionals of the scientific and academic fields, industry, students and institutions related to the areas of education and tourist development. In this way, the meeting constitutes an opportunity to strengthen the link between the scientific and academic areas, industry and community.
\nIn recent years there have been many advances on the knowledge of the sedimentology of different planetary bodies. For example, there are numerous images of Mars that document the presence of different sedimentary structures, fossil lakes, rivers, deltas and large dune fields. The existence of lakes, rivers and seas of methane has been also recognized on Titan. Moreover, in the Moon, many surface features are being analyzed in sedimentological terms. On the basis of this context, we believe that the next RAS 2018 is a propitious setting to invite specialists from national and international institutions to expose and allow us to discuss terrestrial sedimentological knowledge and its extrapolation to other planetary bodies. These themes represent part of the new challenges for the sedimentology of the 21st century.<\/p>\n
